Who, What, When, Where and How?

Hello all, I am back again hoping that this can be a good avenue for me to express some of my feelings again as I venture down a new, yet well traveled road in my life. The title of this post may not make much sense to you right now but i hope it does after reading thins and I hope it makes me realize the importance of something I already know.

Lets begin with the "Who"
The Who is Jesus Christ. The one and only Son of the Father. He is the one person that we should look up to at all times. No matter what others are doing in their lives, it does not compare to the greatness of Jesus and the awesome love and sacrifice he gave, and actually still gives us to this very day. He is the one our focus should be on and all of our energy should be devoted to.

The "What"
What do we need to do to become closer to Our Lord through Jesus Himself? We first of all need to develop a relationship with Jesus so we can learn to listen to him and learn what he is saying to us. We need to learn the way that He works and the ways of which he teaches us so we are able to walk away from certain situations with him and have something to show for it. It is very difficult to not pay attention to him and expect to learn something. Just like when I was in school, I couldn't possibly expect to pass the Final in a class if I slept through the whole semester and then all of a sudden woke up to take the test.

The "When"
For some people this is a hard question. When should I begin giving my life to the Lord? When is the right time? The answer to that question is really quite simple. Anytime you are not giving your life to the Lord is the PERFECT time to start doing so. When you are not in full Communion with God it hurts him. One of his children have strayed away from him. He wants us at all times to be with him and be living our lives to become closer to him so we can spend all of eternity with him like he intended since the first day.

The "Where"
In my opinion I would say the best place to start a journey to Christ or to pick up on a wayward journey with him is in the Confessional. On your knees confessing your faults and you Sin's to Jesus. And having the hands of our very Lord placed on your head and haveing your sins Absolved! How Beautiful. One of my favorite things about Confession is when the Priest is Absolving you and he is acting "In Persona Christi." That is such a beautiful thing. That to me is the best place to start.

Finally, the "How"
How do we give ourselves to God? The answer is with EVERY single beat of our heart and breath that he gives us!" Go all out, Do not hold anything back. You can put everything on the line with God and not even have to worry about losing anything. He will in turn give you more for you turning everything over to him. It may not be in the exact same way you would have pictured him giving it to you but that is why earlier I had said that you need to learn how He works and how teaches and blesses us because sometimes our human qualities can make it difficult for us to see what he is doing. Please keep me in your prayers as I begin a journey back to Christ, and I will kepp everyone in the world in my prayers that may be starting or re-starting a relationship with Christ. God Bless. Also, Please feel free to pass this blog onto others and please, if you have anything to say, comment. That is a lot of my motivation to sit down and write on here. Your Brother in Christ, Jon
